HPSET Apply Online
SET Exam is a State Eligibility Test for the post of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor at the state level. This exam is conducted by Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (HPPSC). HPPSC has released the notification for the SET-2017. The candidate can download prospectus containing detailed information regarding exam.
HP State Eligibility Test
The exam organized by HPPSC the qualified students recruited to the colleges or universities in Himachal Pradesh. The exam contains three papers SET(Paper I-II-III). The SET-2018-2019 will be held in Feb/March 2018. The application forms of the SET-2018 are submitted online. The centers of the test can be Mandi, Shimla, Solan, Kangra, Dharmashala.

Eligibility Criteria For The Applicants
Candidates who have secured at least 55% marks (without rounding off) in Master’s Degree or equivalent examination from universities/institutions recognized by UGC in any discipline.
The candidates belongs to reserved category required at least 50% marks in Master’s Degree or equivalent examination are eligible for this test.
Candidates who have appeared or will be appearing at the qualifying Master’s Degree and whose result is still awaited may also apply for this test.
The Ph.D. Degree holders whose Master’s level examination had been completed by 19th September, 1991 shall be eligible for a relaxation of 5% in aggregate marks for appearing in SET. Candidates are advised to appear in the subject of their post-graduation only.
Concession of Fee is only for reserved category must ensure that their certificate of respective category is on parental lineage issued by the competent authority. The candidates are not required to submit any certificates/documents in support of their eligibility.

Test Scheme
The paper for SET consists of three papers on same day from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. The time divides in this manner which is:
Paper-I 10:00 am to 11:15 am 45 min
Paper-II 11:30 am to 12:45 pm 45 min
Paper-III 2:30 pm to 5:00 pm 150 min

Syllabus For SET Examination
Paper-I is the general paper for all discipline it contains objective type question two marks each general knowledge, reasoning, basic computer general English as well.
Paper-II and III contains objective type questions of 2 marks each from the subjects which have chosen by the candidate.
Required Age Limit
There is no bound of age for HPPSC SET Exam.

How To Apply For SET Exam
Following steps are required to apply for the exam. These steps are:
Visit the official website of HPPSC which is http://www.hppsc.gov.in and click on “Apply Online” tab.
Register to the HPPSC. You will get login Id and Password. Log in to the website.
Enter the personal details, academic details, upload scanned photo and signature, then click on submit.
After submission of the form full fill the payment.
Download the application form for future use.
Mode Of Fee Payment
The payment can be done by e-challan or e-payment i.e. by credit card, debit card or net banking.
Admit Card
Admit cards will be released before some days before the test. The candidate can download admit cards from HPPSC website by login to the website. No hard copy of the admit card will be sent by post. Students have to download the admit card and take print out of the admit card to produce at the time of the examination.
